Beyond his passion for business and marketing, Preston enjoys spending time with his wife, Brittany, and their young daughter, Remi. As an active member of his church community, he values faith, family, and the opportunity to give back to the Rowlett area.

Before beginning this new journey of providing fitness and chiropractic care to others, he was a Certified Public Accountant with a Bachelors of Business Administration and a Masters in Professional Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin. As an accountant with the largest service firm in the world, he was afforded many opportunities, including working and living abroad. Dr. Asa is continues practicing as a CPA, with a regional public accounting firm, in conjunction with his lifelong passion for helping others in their health journey.
Since launching his practice in July 2012, Dr. Asa has worked with patients from all walks of life, from everyday individuals to elite athletes striving for peak performance. As co-owner of CrossFit North Mesquite alongside his wife from 2010 to 2022, he has helped athletes of all levels—from beginners just starting their fitness journey to some of the sport's most accomplished competitors—overcome physical limitations and optimize their movement. His philosophy extends beyond pain relief—he believes in fueling the body with proper nutrition, purposeful movement, and a powerful, positive mindset to create lasting health and wellness.
Throughout his career, Dr. Asa has collaborated with medical doctors, bridging the gap between traditional and holistic healthcare. He specializes in working with patients who may be new to chiropractic care, offering not only expert chiropractic adjustments but also gentle muscle manipulation techniques that don't require the traditional "cracking" often associated with spinal adjustments. His approach ensures safe, effective, and comfortable treatments tailored to each patient's unique needs.
With a deep passion for helping others, Dr. Asa is committed to providing exceptional care and guiding his patients toward a healthier, pain-free life.






Having taken on various roles within the field of education, Dr. Culpepper has become an inspiring advocate for change. Her career began as a master teacher, where she developed her skills and ignited a passion for shaping young minds. She then transitioned to the critical role of campus principal, implementing innovative strategies to enhance schools and transform them into dynamic centers of learning and teacher development. These experiences fueled her desire to make a meaningful impact, prompting her to advance her educational leadership journey in central office administration.
As a member of the Garland ISD community, she has actively addressed the unique needs of diverse students within the educational landscape and emphasized the importance of collaborative partnerships within the broader Garland ISD community and the tri-cities of Garland, Rowlett, and Sachse.
In addition to her professional achievements, Dr. Culpepper's personal life reflects her values and beliefs. Raised by her great-grandmother, she possesses a deep-rooted faith and a focus on family. As a devoted wife of over two decades and a proud mother of three exceptional children, she recognizes the vital importance of building connections, nurturing relationships, and instilling the values of compassion, determination, and continuous growth.

A former college football standout, Matt was a punter for the Oklahoma State Cowboys and even won the prestigious Ray Guy Award in 2008. After a brief stint playing professional football, Matt joined the family business, bringing his dedication and drive to the Gleco team.
Matt is passionate about continuing Gleco's tradition of providing customers with the best
possible service. He is also committed to giving back to the community and supporting local
organizations.
In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with his family and friends, golfing, and staying
active.

involved with our Chamber of Commerce since 2014 by representing Life Message and Gmac Family Financial.
She officially joined the COC as a business owner in 2017 with her husband, Rick, when they launched their pet-sitting and dog-walking business, Roxie's Pet Services.
Monica is actively involved in the Chamber's Make A Connection networking group and strives to grow this group by asking people she knows with businesses to "hang out with us at our comedy hour every Thursday at 8am."
In the last several years Monica has been involved in Leadership Rowlett ~ Class 25 ~, served on the Rowlett Animal Shelter Advisory Board, and has served as an Ambassador for our Chamber.
Monica and Rick have a blended family of 5 children, 9 grandchildren, and one great grandchild on the way. Monica is a true pet enthusiast with over 25 years experience with pet care, pet nutrition and emergency protocol for pets. Her and Rick have grown their businesses to include Pet Sitting/Dog Walking, Poop Scooping, and Pet First Aid/CPR Instruction.


Prior to joining Dallas College, Dr. Tealer worked in the corporate sector in banking and manufacturing. In addition, he has taught master’s courses in corporate finance at the University of Dallas and currently serves as an adjunct instructor in the doctoral program in higher education leadership at Southern Methodist University. He is very active in his community, presently serving on the Boards of Rowlett and Balch Springs Chambers of Commerce, Sharing Life Community Outreach, Ferguson Road Initiative, and several other area boards and committees.
Dr. Tealer holds the Ph.D. degree in Leadership Studies, a Master of Management degree in Corporate Finance, an MBA in Management, and a bachelor’s degree in applied arts and sciences.
Dr. Tealer is passionate about education and in ensuring student success. He is a firm believer in leading by example and the importance of communication, collaboration, and building strong, positive relationships. He is an avid proponent of the principles of servant leadership, which he practices routinely with the people he leads.

Presently Miles is a Vice President of Development with JacksonShaw and he is responsible for identifying new development opportunities, site selection, land acquisition, entitlements, design, construction, and managing leasing of industrial projects across the state of Texas. He serves on the Oak Lawn Planning Commission and is a member of NAIOP and TREC. He enjoys spending time with his family and golfing.

A native of the Pacific Northwest, Kristoff earned four degrees from the University of Washington including undergraduate degrees in the arts and Business Information Systems, a Masters in Business Administration, and a Juris Doctorate (law degree). He practiced law in Seattle before beginning his career in local government.

Her work focuses on aligning land use policy, capital investment, and market strategy to expand the tax base, attract private investment, and strengthen long-term economic competitiveness. She specializes in fiscal impact analysis, redevelopment strategy, incentive structuring, and GIS-driven market analysis to support data-informed economic development decisions.
Prior to joining Rowlett, Mailinh served with the Texoma Council of Governments, supporting the Texoma Economic Development District and regional initiatives that advanced workforce alignment, infrastructure strategy, and investment readiness, including work supporting the federally designated Texoma Semiconductor Tech Hub.
Mailinh holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, Irvine. She was recognized as a 2023 Emerging Leader for the Southwest Region by the National Association of Development Organizations and the U.S. Economic Development Administration.

But that’s only the beginning, Larry has also provided leadership and support to the following having served on the Garland Economic Development Partnership – Member, Chair, State Bar of Texas - School Law Section Member, Partners for PAWS - Board of Directors, Rowlett Economic Development Board – Member, Rowlett Chamber of Commerce - Board of Directors, Rowlett Chamber Foundation - Board of Directors, Center for Reform of School Systems – Fellow , Council of Urban Boards of Education, Imagine Rowlett - Comprehensive Plan Review Committee (4th Comprehensive Plan member since 1993), "Rebuild Rowlett" - Appointed by Mayor Todd Gottel after the 2015 tornado that struck Garland and Rowlett.
He has been honored with the Biff Bettencourt Outstanding Service award, Richard Huff Excellence in Service award, Big R Pacesetter award, Spirit of Rowlett award, Coyle Middle School Band Conductor’s Baton, Herfurth Elementary National Montessori Certification team, and special award from GISD Special Olympics for continued sponsorship of letterman jackets and medical exams.
Larry is a TASB Master Trustee, Leadership TASB Graduate, MBA with Distinction/Valedictorian, Regents Scholar, Elected to Beta Gamma Signa International Honor Society, and admitted to practice U.S. Supreme Court.
Larry loves jazz, golf, planting and saving trees on six continents, reading, birding, and wildlife photography.

Throughout Eva Hummel’s professional career, she has served in the roles of public relations, public affairs, marketing, and community engagement. In her position with Atmos Energy she focuses on relationships with community stakeholders, municipalities, businesses, civic organizations, non-profits, and elected officials.
Before joining Atmos Energy, Eva worked at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Garland where she served as marketing and public relations manager. Prior to Baylor Scott & White she served as marketing coordinator for the Curtis Culwell Center owned and operated by the Garland Independent School District (GISD). Eva has more than 25+ years of combined experience within education, healthcare, and public utilities along with the non-profit sector.

Along with being a local representative, Kristy represents Oncor in city and county government, civic and community-related initiatives. She has been with Oncor for 23 years and worked in various roles, such as Market Liaison, Energy Efficiency and Customer Service.
Kristy graduated from the University of Texas Permian Basin with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
During her career at Oncor, Kristy has served in numerous leadership roles in several communities and has been a very active volunteer.
Kristy and her husband, Doug, live in Rockwall and enjoy being involved in the community and spending time with friends and family.

With a background in workforce development, education, and strategic partnerships, Emily brings a passion for service and innovation to her work. She has held leadership roles in nonprofit, education, and public-private sectors. Emily formerly served as President of the Rowlett Rotary Club and now serves as an Assistant District Governor for Rotary District 5810.
She holds a Master of Arts in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Organizational Leadership from the University of Alabama. Emily is committed to fostering meaningful connections, promoting local businesses, and creating impactful experiences that support the growth and vitality of the Rowlett community.
