There are several parking lots available to park in including the DART parking lot, Herfurth Park, Coyle Middle School parking lot, and downtown Rowlett.

Yes, you do not need a confirmation or driver’s license to pick up for another participant.

We are NOT having a Kid’s run or Mile Fun Run.

Yes, we will be accepting registrations on the day of the run this year up until 4:30 pm.  The cost to register on race day is $35. You are NOT guaranteed a shirt if you register on race day.

Clean, unworn shirts can be exchanged once packet pick-up is complete and after the race concludes on the day of the race.  Shirt sizes are not guaranteed. You may NOT exchange your shirt during packet pick up.

Strollers are allowed but at the back of the pack.

Dogs on leashes are allowed.

Packet pick-up will be held from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm at or near the race start line.

You can call the offices of the Rowlett Chamber of Commerce the following week.  We will not be mailing awards, so you'll need to make arrangements to come by our office to pick them up.

By definition, all unforeseeable events or occurrences that may affect the Sunset Santa 5K cannot be succinctly defined. The RCoC acknowledges that the event is in late November and is completely unpredictable in North Texas. As such, the Sunset Santa 5K generally shall occur come rain, snow, or shine because RCoC understands the training and expense participants have invested in competing in our race and training. However, if runner safety becomes an issue we will cancel the race.

If you decide not to participate or the race is canceled,  RCoC will not provide refunds to participants, sponsors, vendors, or others who have expended funds on the race. The Sunset Santa 5K requires an extensive amount of planning and pre-event expenses that include proper permitting, course control, and the purchase of shirts and race awards.

It is not possible for us to delay or postpone our race by even an hour or two.  The goal of the Sunset Santa 5K is for our runners to participate in our run and stay in the downtown area to enjoy the fine dining, shopping venues.  We cannot hamper the small business owners or in downtown Rowlett by closing down the streets any longer than agreed.
